The Tim Gauthier Trio brings a fresh, eclectic energy to every performance, blending jazz tradition with modern flair. Drawing from his wide-ranging musical tastes—everything from bluegrass to bebop and blues—guitarist Tim leads the trio through a dynamic mix of jazz standards, inventive jazz arrangements of popular tunes, and his own original compositions.
A former Rockygrass Bluegrass Guitar Champion, Tim combines technical mastery with deep musicality. A graduate of Colorado State University in music education and holding a master’s in elementary education from the University of Northern Colorado, he has long balanced a love for music with a dedication to learning. In 2019, he released his first recording as a leader, Cry Last, with longtime collaborators Chuck Landgraf and Jo Asker—a vibrant collection of jazz standards alongside Tim’s own compositions.
